Professional Experience
Since 1966, primarily engaged in the practice of law in the field of international transactions and dispute resolution with emphasis on construction, major projects, joint ventures, licensing, and long-term sales of goods contracts, particularly aero-space procurement contracts.  International experience in Japan (over 20 years based in Tokyo), Singapore (based in Singapore 1979 to 1987), Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.  In construction, have handled major projects, including contract negotiation and major claim resolution on behalf of contractors in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the UK and the United States, in many cases under FIDIC or similar forms of contract; acted as client contact partner on major construction defect litigation in which jury verdicts for $146 million in favor of our client were handed down in late 2001 and early 2002.  In aerospace, experience as lead counsel in mediation of major termination for convenience and insurance claims. Experience as arbitrator in numerous proceedings both in Japan and the United States.
